DESCRIPTION:Part of Burquest’s “Coat of Many Colours” program\, exploring varieties of Jewish practice in the Lower Mainland. \nLed by Rabbi Laura Duhan-Kaplan\, Ordination: ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal\, Affiliations: Renewal & Conservative \nDescription: Currently\, I work at the Vancouver School of Theology\, an ecumenical Christian seminary on the campus of UBC. I am Professor of Jewish Studies and Director of Inter-Religious Studies.To this work\, I bring my background in multiple Jewish movements\, plus my studies of Ayurvedic Yoga\, Christian spirituality\, western Philosophy\, and Jungian psychology. In our session\, I will first speak about my background\, my current work\, and what an integrative spirituality grounded in Jewish practice might look like. Then\, we will discuss a short Jewish text about spirituality\, and share a spiritual exercise both Jewish and integrative.
