Change through Exchange

On December 3, the Philosophers’ Circle of Or Shalom teens will meet up with youth from the Shaughnessy Heights United Church for an inter-religious exchange. Christian teens will visit Or Shalom to learn about Jewish  traditions and share their own. Or Shalom youth will be invited to discuss their experiences and knowledge about Torah, synagogue, Jewish culture and the tradition of bar and bat mitzvah, while also learning about the beliefs and practices the SHUC youth hold dear. Open to teens from Or Shalom and SHUC.  Facilitated by Rabbi Laura Duhan Kaplan and Youth Minister Pamela Jefferey.
