Small Healings: Community at the Jewish New Year
September 27, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm PDT

A Sunday service exploring the theme of world religions and communities of belonging. This service features a pre-recorded talk by Rabbi Laura Duhan-Kaplan, and a service led by Rev. Samaya Oakley.
Description: The Jewish New Year always begins with small acts of interpersonal healing. Each fall, we learn together about repentance, forgiveness and atonement. Then we reach out to repair the small ruptures that stress friendships. And we take a deeper look at the bigger hurts that haunt us. While it is not always easy, it always strengthens our community.
Can’t make it? The same talk will also be featured in a different online service at Calgary Unitarian Church, led by Rev. Debra Faulk, at 10:30 am MDT. https://calgaryunitarians.ca/
