Spirit of Reconciliation (Book Talk)
January 11, 2021 @ 1:45 pm - 3:00 pm PST

A national reconciliation after great trauma is a long-term process of truth, compassion, and justice. How can religious leaders help facilitate it? Spirit of Reconciliation (2020) offers lessons from Canada’s process of Indigenous Reconciliation. Ten religious leaders—representing Indigenous, settler, and refugee voices—share their stories, symbols, and strategies for learning and healing. In this book talk, co-editor Laura Duhan-Kaplan will speak about the book’s content. She’ll also describe the conversation that led to its creation, and some of the challenges involved.
Open to registered participants in the 2021 OHALAH conference.
