Thank you for this. I am familiar with Ein Sof as the infinite concept of God.
I suppose the notion influenced that greatest of Jewish (and non-Jewish ) scholars of all time….the 13th century sage: Moses Maimonides. He boldly said that God has no form nor gender. A real departure from the anthropomorphic thinking of the middle age as God being a “he”
.
Thank you, Tom. Maimonides is part of a wave of sophisticated medieval philosophers – Jewish, Christian, and Islamic – who tried to wrap their minds around God’s infinity. Each one came up with something different and creative. I’m so glad to find a fellow fan of Maimonides! Thanks for commenting.
