Come join us in a fun “Vashti” event designed as a warm-up for Purim at 7:00 pm on March 3, 2020. Remember Queen Vashti who refused to attend King Ahasuerus’ party and was banished, making room for Esther to enter the king’s harem and make her own mark on the history of the Jewish people?
Our guest speaker, Rabbi Laura Duhan-Kaplan, will help us understand the difficult choices which Queen Vashti and so many women face, both then and now.
Lots of lovely snacks, hamantaschen, Middle Eastern music and a henna artist will be on hand to entertain you. Please respond as quickly as possible so we can ensure everyone who is interested has a chance to leave with their own henna tattoo.”
